One of the main purposes of
this site is to be a week by week and cumulative look
at the fortunes of the 17 Mules
Schools playing football.
Results will be reported so long
as at least one Mules School is
still playing. With the start
by some of the teams it looks as

Jordan Babineaux,
Former SAU Mulerider, is a Seahawks
hero!
Jordan Babineaux,
played his last season at Southern Arkansas University, in
2003. He is now in his second year
as an NFL cornerback. Sunday,
October intercepted a Drew
Bledsoe pass in the last minute of
the Seahawk's game against the Dallas
Cowboys.
Babineaux ran the
pick back 25 yards and got out
of bounds leaving five seconds on
the clock. His heroics gave Josh
Brown the opportunity to kick a 51 yard field goal
for the Seahawks win as time ran out.
The win, being
called one of the biggest in
Seahawks history, puts them atop the
NFC as they bid to win home field
advantage throughout the
playoffs.

There
will be two new Mules Schools,
in 2006, according to MaxPreps.com.
Both are in Missouri, located in
Wheatland and Bernie. At this
time it is assumed the high schools
will carry the town names.
The nickname for both
schools is being reported as
'Mules'. The colors for both schools
are listed as blue and white.
When enough information is available
pages will be added for these
schools.
The addition of the two schools
will bring the total of Mules
Schools playing football to
19. Four colleges, 14 high
schools and one military
school.
Since the Mule is the
official state animal, it is only
fitting that six of those schools,
five high schools and one college,
are in Missouri.
Bernie is located, in
southeast Missouri, within about 30
miles of Poplar Bluff, another Mules
School. Wheatland is in west
central Missouri, a short distance
south southeast of Warrensburg, home
of the Central Missouri State
University Mules.
